Currently, three MSc students from the Biomechanical Engineering department of Delft University of Technology have formed a team (the DIPO Power Team) to compete in the Cybathlon 2016 in Zurich, Switzerland for the “Powered Arm Prosthetics Race.” Between now and October 8, 2016 we are working together, powered by curiosity and sponsors, to design and develop a body-powered upper-limb prosthetic device that will enable the user (our “pilot”) to navigate through a pre-defined obstacle course that represents daily tasks as well as challenges for prosthetic users, in general. Our goal is to design a comfortable and effective body-powered upper-limb prosthesis to outperform the externally powered competitors! Join us to help us reach our goal!
